A real world data store, as seen at Joann’s on 8/7/18

l’d also like to mention another concept –namely, what if I could store SVGs in a browser’s local data base engine?

SVG Pattern XYZ, for example, could be assigned an ID, a long name, and various META descriptors that characterize it.

Moreover, those attributes can be associated with lower level SVG elements, such as <lines>.

If I can figure out an efficient data structure that works using David Fahlander’s Dexie.JS, then I might be able to persist SVGs using the browser itself.

What would the use-case for this be?

Well… how about providing a queryable taxonomy for Islamic geometric patterns?

I know.

Like, duh.
